The Portrait Issue

When reading about portraits, we were introduced to Manjari Sharma. This inside excerpt, shows us where Sharma started out and where she went from there. Shrama, growing up in India, came over to America at the young age of 21 to study at Columbus. For Sharma, taking portraits was just a test and trial for her, but she noticed that her and her models were able to get more into their work as they went along. It became easy for her and her models to share the most intimate of conversations, while also enjoying a cup of tea. Personally, I like the work that Sharma does in the shower, because I think that it really captures a person naturally. A person just doesn't just merely see a person nude, but they see inside the person instead.
